Mission
For all to be given the time they deserve and feel heard. To serve everyone no matter the mold they came from.
A beehive is a community where all work together to help and support a thriving hive. At Hive Midwifery, we strive to achieve the same level of community and symbiosis. Everyone working together in harmony.
About Me
I was 16 years old when I witnessed my first niece being born. From that moment on—I was hooked. I wanted to be the midwife that caught that squiggly, chunky baby. I wanted to hand the greatest gift in someone’s life to them and feel the pure energy that passes from my hands to theirs.
The next 13 years of my life were driven by the desire to be those hands.
Midwifery Care
Midwifery care is unlike standard western medicine, it is unlike eastern medicine, it is not one size fits all, it is not this is your problem take these pills…Midwifery care is taking the individual and seeing them as an individual. Giving the time to allow all their concerns to feel not only heard but discussed. Working together to achieve optimal health in mind, body, and spirit.
Hive Birth Center
A freestanding birth center is a facility that is its own separate entity from a hospital. They are typically owned and run by midwives. It is a safe and comfy space for expecting families to receive prenatal care and labor and birth. Laboring persons have to be low-risk and be invested in an out of hospital birth. The environment is similar to your home, complete with a comfy full-sized bed, full bathroom and shower, as well as a birthing tub. You are free to have whom ever you desire at your birth, you are free to move, and eat throughout the laboring process. I can’t wait to share this lovely space with you all.
